INTRODUCTION

(this is a specific introduction to introduce Aaron and Jon to the stage rather than a biography (that gives away the story)

Our next two speakers bring pressure-tested performance from elite sport into the executive arena.

Partnering with CEOs and leadership teams to make better decisions, faster, when pressure is highest.

Aaron Phipps MBE, a three-time Paralympian.

Voted in the UK's top 100 most influential people with a disability, has defied expectations throughout his life.

Joining him is his performance coach – Jon Cooper,

He has over a decade of experience supporting elite athletes in professional and international level sport.

A researcher as well as a practitioner, Jon brings evidence-based insight into helping athletes and leaders stay focused, resilient, and at their best when it matters most.

Together, they are here to tell their story of defying expectations,

Achieving the impossible, and share their methods and insights to becoming the best team on the plantet.

BOOM - Mic drop

Please welcome to the stage Aaron Phipps and Jon Cooper.

The cheeky version

Jon would describe Aaron as a sporting legend.

Aaron would describe Jon as a super coach.

Hear about the bromance of the century!

Aaron Phipps MBE

In 2021, at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, Aaron and his teammates won the first ever Gold Medal for Paralympics GB in a team sport event; however, the journey began a long time before this.

Aaron made his Paralympics debut in the famous London 2012 games, where GB Wheelchair Rugby finished in fifth place. He then took some time away from the sport to focus on his family; after which he was asked to trial for the squad leading up to Tokyo 2020.

He was selected for the squad and played an integral part in bringing home the Gold.

AV REQUIREMENTS

LIVE

Presentation facilities with sound. Preference would be to present from their own device but they are happy to send the slide deck in advance if required

Workshops – We can make the space fit but extra rooms for breakout sessions and reflection is always useful.

VIRTUAL

In person is always our preference but we can deliver from a professional studio with stage lighting and Industry standard audio equipment for high-fidelity voice capture. Via Teams, Zoom, Google Meet etc

"The session was extremely humbling and knowing that someone can achieve so much from the power of self will and determination as well as support from someone close to them it makes you think anything is truly possible."
